Lauren W. Murphy

My name is Lauren Murphy; my goal is to help students grow as people through the experience of learning music.

My students range in age and abilities from beginners through preparing for college auditions! As one of my students, you’ll join a musical community through our fun and personalized weekly lessons in my East Roswell home studio office. Extra opportunities include local clarinet events such as Clarinet Day, studio recitals, and extracurricular wind ensembles in the Atlanta area. In the fall, my students prepare for and regularly achieve placement in District Honor Band, All State Band, and even the prestigious Governor’s Honors Program. It’s a privilege to walk alongside my students as they grow; students often take lessons for 3-7 years! 

Each summer, my students connect with one another at a Clarinet Camp at my home.  You may also say hello to my husband and daughters, my dog, Scout, or my backyard chicken flock before or after your lesson!

When I’m not teaching lessons at home or teaching clarinet sectionals at local schools, you can find me leading nature programs at the Chattahoochee Nature Center or performing with local orchestras.
